Artist's Comments

The concept for the choker was inspired the ocean goddess, Yemaya, and her sacred animal, the peacock. The dolphins are sterling silver and symbolize the children of Yemaya (her name literally means “Mother Whose Children are the Fish”.)

I wore this to the 2006 Inland Northwest Witches Ball as it was a formal occasion. It got received many compliments for both it's beauty and uniqueness.

This is for sale here on my website (a detailed view can be seen there too.)

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? :firelite-photo::chainsaw:

Oh, wow - that's so wonderful! ^_^ You're going to look great the the Ball, I guarantee it. The dolphins are a wonderful touch, and the multi-strand choker is always a winner. Did you get the peacock feather as a "bead" or sorts, or did you take an existing feather and turn it into one?
Insta-Fav!

Thanks for the +fav! I use to have (or rather Michael use to have) a beautiful long peacock feather but one day our kitties got it it and mangled it all. since I am a salvager I saved the eye and some fonds (the ones on the peacock journal are from the same feather.) I am glad you like it!

This is one of my favourites of all your work - the beads and the dolphins complement the natural beauty of the feather so well.
I do always have a soft spot for Peacock feathers as well. :D
